Who in your group rides what

Whether everyone in your group gets a day at La Molina - the grades on offer, the named zones, and how mixed abilities split up.

What this network spans
Grades 1 to 51-5 (green to double-black)
Local grading

UK/Euro colour system - green, blue, red, black, plus double-black/proline DH lines.

Zones & variants

GROUP SPLIT - beginners lap the bottom green/blue flow and woodpark near base parking; advanced riders take the gondola/chairlift to approx 2,400 m for full red/black descents (Guineu, Catalunya). Uplift: Cadi-Moixero gondola plus Cap de Comella chairlift.

Accessibility & group fit

Strong for mixed groups - lift access removes climbing, dedicated beginner woodpark/freestyle area near base, rental and an adapted-sports centre on a family-oriented resort.

The riding

Terrain

Alpine meadow up top, forest singletrack lower; machine-groomed flow plus natural rock-garden and root sections; dirt/gravel access roads.

Technical demands

Mix of machine-groomed flow (berms, jumps, wallrides) and technical European rock-garden and root DH lines. Exposure generally low to moderate - forest and alpine meadow rather than cliff-edge.

Navigation

Signed bike-park circuits on the resort piste map; dense and reliable Trailforks mapping. Easy to follow.

Crowds

Busiest on weekends and July-August; a popular Catalan destination but rarely overwhelmed, quieter midweek.

Season & conditions

Seasonal specials

Transport & shuttles

Uplift is the resort gondola plus chairlift (bike-carrying); no van shuttle needed. Train access to the resort is a notable option.
