UK/Euro colour grading: Green (beginner), Blue (flow), Red (technical), Black and DH+/double-black (expert). Trailforks mirrors the same colour scheme.
GROUP SPLIT: from the gondola top station, stronger riders take red/black (ROCKnRolla, DH+); others descend green/blue (Gypsy, Twister flow). Both reconverge at the gondola base / Blonia area, and riders can shorten a day simply by skipping laps.
Very group-friendly: the gondola carries bikes on external racks so mixed-ability groups can share uplift and split by colour grade. Green/blue lines suit beginners and families; blacks serve experts.
The riding
Forested Beskid singletrack - roots, rock, natural boulders and loam - plus some built flow and jump lines. Steep, natural gravity terrain rather than pure machine-built bike-park.
Natural forested singletrack with roots, rock slabs and boulders; red and black lines are steep and technical. Moderate exposure, mostly tree-lined; the hardest UCI/Polish Cup descents are physical and rough.
Waymarked, colour-graded park with signage; digital maps on endurotrails.pl, Trailforks and AllTrails. Gondola base acts as the central orientation hub.
Popular and well-established riding community; busiest on summer weekends and in June, noticeably quieter on weekdays.
Season & conditions
The gondola operates year-round, but the practical snow-free biking window is approx April/May to October depending on conditions.
Late spring to autumn (roughly May-October); Trailforks ride logs show June as the busiest/most popular riding month.
Hosted Poland's first-ever UCI MTB World Cup, 17-19 May 2024 - Enduro and E-Enduro on Szyndzielnia/Bielsko-Biala (Downhill at neighbouring Szczyrk Mountain Resort). The World Cup returned in 2025 (mid-May).
Mountain thunderstorms and sudden rain that make roots and rock slabs slick; fog on the summit and rapid temperature drops at altitude.
Getting there & gear
Trails are free to ride; a gondola bike/uplift ticket is required to use the lift. No permit or lottery system.
Permits and operators change - confirm before booking.
Lower gondola station in Bielsko-Biala (Olszowka district), directly above the city centre; good road/rail access, ~80 km west of Krakow.
Main uplift is the PKL/Kolej Linowa Szyndzielnia gondola (1,810 m long, gondolas fitted with bicycle holders). The wider park also connects to a second gondola toward Szczyrk/Kozia Gora.
Enduro/all-mountain or DH bike with pads recommended for red/black lines; water available at the base and summit huts; mobile coverage is generally good given proximity to the city.
Base offers bike rental, a test centre, service/repair point, bike wash and a kids' pumptrack, plus small eateries; the summit has a restaurant/hut and observation tower.
Enduro Trails (endurotrails.pl) is the park operator/hub; local bike shops, rental and coaching in Bielsko-Biala; Szczyrk Mountain Resort is the nearby DH venue.
Hazards & rescue
Steep technical black descents, slick roots and rock when wet, and shared use with hikers on a multi-use mountain. Ride within grade and respect uphill/hiking traffic.
None required; the park is self-guided and self-service.
Forest and service roads plus the gondola provide evacuation routes; mountain rescue by GOPR (Beskidy group); EU emergency number 112.
