The riding
Mix of machine-built compact-dirt flow lines and natural rocky/root single trails; glacier-zone rock up high.
High-alpine, rocky and exposed especially up high; Fernar Trail is extremely demanding with steep switchbacks, boulders and exposed rock around Petznersee.
Signposted enduro routes; stone-figure (cairn-like) markers at trail starts; Trailforks GPS maps available.
Moderate - Trailforks past-week about 136 rides; some hiker overlap (Rettenbachalm to old Langegg station).

No permit (Fernar only via organized shuttle). 2026 prices: 1-day 50-52.50 adult / 40-42 youth / 27.50-29 child EUR; single uphill Gaislachkogl I or Giggijoch 32.50/17.50; season pass 417/332/228; keycard deposit 3 EUR.

Solden village in the Otztal (Tirol); parking garage at Gaislachkogl gondola is the shuttle departure point; toll glacier road to Rettenbachalm.
Fernar Trail shuttle from Gaislachkogl parking garage (Tue, Fri, Sat 14:30 and Sun 07:45, weather permitting); free bike transport on Otztal valley buses with valid ticket; centre shuttle about 08:30-20:00.
