Standard green (beginner) / blue (intermediate) / red (advanced) / black (expert) plus dedicated Flow Country-style flow trails and a beginner Riders Playground; Trailforks mirrors the scale.

Natural split at the Asitz mid/top stations - beginners lap the valley-station Playground and lower flow trails while advanced riders take gondola laps to the top; regroup at the base finish area.

Strong for mixed groups and families - Europe's largest beginner area (Riders Playground, 10,000+ m2, ~9 practice trails, conveyor belt, pump track, bagjump) sits alongside expert DH, making it a good progression venue.

Mix of hand-built machine-groomed flow (berms, tables, jumps), natural forest singletrack with roots and limestone rock, plus northshore/wooden features and steep loamy-to-rocky race lines up high.

Wide range - the Speedster is the park's most demanding line (steep, root carpets, rock fields, tight turns) and Hangman I is a technical natural trail (roots, rocks, northshore, drops), while the FOX Steinberg Line and other flow trails are lower-exposure. The UCI Downhill World Cup track is a pro-level, high-consequence race line.

Fully signed lift-served park with colour-graded trail signs, an on-site trail-status board and a live Bikemap; low route-finding demand.

A busy, high-profile lift-served park - expect crowds on weekends, holidays and event weeks; midweek and shoulder-season are quieter. Not a solitude destination.

2026 park season 08 May - 08 Nov 2026; the Asitzbahn runs daily ~09:00-16:30 until 26 Oct 2026. Season typically runs May to early November.

Summer to autumn; late June through September is prime, with dry, settled Alpine conditions.

Long-running UCI Mountain Bike World Cup host (Downhill and XCO) under a multi-year UCI MTB World Series partnership; hosted the UCI MTB World Championships in 2012 and 2020, and awarded the 2028 UCI MTB World Championships (30 Aug - 3 Sep 2028, incl. DH, XCO, XCC, E-MTB).

Leogang and neighbouring Saalfelden are the nearest towns; Zell am See ~20 km; Salzburg city/airport ~1 hr / ~90 km by car. On the Salzburg-Tyrol rail corridor (Leogang-Steinberge / Saalfelden stations).

The Asitzbahn gondola is the main bike-park uplift (part of a 9-lift regional network); Leogang Bikes and local shuttle/e-bus links serve the valley, with low-cost regional transport via the guest card. Bikes are carried on the gondola.

Full-face helmet and body protection strongly advised for gravity lines; bikes/gear rentable on site, water/food at base and mountain restaurants. Mobile coverage generally good in the valley and on the Asitz, patchier deep in forest (est).

On-site bike shops and rental (e.g. Sport Mitterer, Sport 2000 Simon at the valley station), bike wash, workshop/repair and a bike school; base finish-area amenities; bike-friendly hotels including the Riders Hotel Leogang and numerous partner bike hotels.

Part of the Saalfelden Leogang and adjoining Saalbach Hinterglemm / Skicircus gravity hub; Sport Mitterer and Sport 2000 Simon are the main on-site operators; Bikeclub Leogang / Young Guns for youth.

High-speed jumps/drops and technical race lines carry real injury risk; wet roots/rock become very slippery. Ride within grade, respect trail-status closures and use protective gear.

None required - a self-guided lift-served park, with optional lessons/guiding via the on-site bike school.

Lift-served with patrolled trails, on-mountain signage and access roads for evacuation; Austrian mountain rescue / emergency 112 (140 alpine rescue) (est).
